Competition Policies

• Ballet: Pink tights and leotard (any color) are required.
• All other classes: tight fitting clothing such as leggings, tights with booty shorts, bra top, leotard, tight tank top. Baggy t-shirts will not be tolerated (lululemon/Nike baggy shorts will not be permitted).
• Dancer must have proper dance shoes for each style.
• Hair must be up in a ponytail or bun- must be done before entering classroom.
• Tight Blacks- to be worn the week of competition.
• If your dancer is not dressed according to the above guidelines, they may be asked to leave class to call for proper dancewear.

• Regular attendance in all classes is necessary in order to maintain progress, especially technique and ballet classes!
• Attendance the 2 weeks leading up to the competition is absolutely mandatory.
• DanceStars must not miss a competition/performance class more than once per month.
• If your dancer is sick, please communicate with the front desk so they can let the teacher know.
• Violating the attendance policy could result in removal from the dance.

All competition payments will now be going through your online account. In order to enter your dancer into a competition, we have to pay the competition an entry fee. We have to pay competitions months in advance to hold our spot in the competition. Please adhere to the payment deadlines provided. We will not be able to enter your dancer until we receive your payments for competition fees. Furthermore, if you have an outstanding balance to MDMC or Massay's you will not be permitted to enter additional solo competitions.
